Production

The Production module is the MES (Manufacturing Executing System) of the L’MIS software tool. It is designed for comprehensive management and planning in production – business systems within the company, production process optimization and support for production – related activities.

Production

This module enables detailed management and implementation of the projects, opened in the Marketing module. It also adds support for optimization of the projects, conducted in the Development module.

Production module overview:

  • Comprehensive management and planning in the production systems of the company
  • Production process optimization and support for all production-related activities
  • Plans supplies and shipping, keeps track of the production and current stock (support for multiple warehouses or repositories), optimizes the listed processes
  • Records data from monitoring sites, controllers and scrap ejectors in real time
  • Assigns work operations to production sources (machines) – the result is a production plan
  • Transfers the data to production – monitoring software (SCADA)

Production   Production

L’MIS offers much more than other commercially available ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems. Not only does it plan supply ordering, product shipping and storage organization, it also links and optimizes these processes. This upgrade brings L’MIS very close to real-time planning and implementation.

Production

The data is acquired from the Marketing (work orders) and Research and development (parts lists) modules. This data serves as the basis for calculating the needed production capacities (what, how much, due date, …). The calculated data can be imported to a scheduler (Preactor software), where the work capacities can be distributed to production sources (machines). The result is a production plan with information about time, quantity, location, estimated time and production method.

This information can be exported to production monitoring software (Factory Suit – Intrack), which writes information about each production step to the database in real time. This data is used to review the realization and optimize the workflow, which is crucial for minimizing abundant supplies and semi-products and consequently costs.

Since the modules are linked, the Finance module can use the data from the Production module to calculate the work hours of the production workers.
